World Championships where a huge success for client and athlete Nicole Bertei!

Stage 1 is now complete.

Firstly a huge congratulations to you Nicole. No one can ever do the hard work for you! All that anyone else can ever do is support you throughout the process.

What where our objectives in this first stage together?

1. Build on trust, connection and understanding within the athlete/coach relationship.

Achieved!

Newer athletes and new coaches will think this is easy, they will think this is the base norm. Not with competitive, driven people with goals to be great at what they do. If you haven’t entered this chapter as an athlete/coach, you probably haven’t had to take someone into new territory they have never been before.

2. Establish the most athletic frame Nicole has ever built and improve Nicole’s strength and conditioning.

Achieved!

Nicole had never taken her strength training as far as she did in preparation for World’s, so it was all very much new territory. In the number of months we had in preparation, Nicole made serious improvements in her strength, conditioning and lean body mass. Exciting news is Nicole still has a big ceiling, so keep a look out in the near future!

3. Develop, trial and practice an effective race plan to help prevent Nicole from unnecessary hiccups on race day.

Achieved!

A little insight. We peaked Nicole just under two weeks out so she could fly to USA a week early and adjust to the time difference and environment without any further hard work to be done; in order to allow her body to recover from the tough preparation block and her immune system to be in good stead. Prior to Worlds we completed two full simulations, a number of half simulations, numerous running time trials and a number of singular station focuses. Why? To establish the first stage of the race plan, work on paces, settings, techniques, compare findings and ultimately begin to build a collection of data for reference.

4. Finish with a personal best time in her Solo Women’s Pro Division.

Achieved!

At 1hr 10min 48secs, in her category Nicole is now the 2nd fastest woman in Australia and no.16 in the World, out of a huge number of participants. Nicole also won her wave, so there was literally no one in front of Nicole to push her any further than she already was.

Now... do we still have plenty of work to do? Will we continue to refine the future plan in the off season? Will we continue to develop ideas and methods for race day?

Yes!

But we will be keeping that information to ourselves. Sorry all the secrets are always kept in house with me.

Want to know what we do? Come join the family.

In conclusion, myself personally, am I a "HYROX Coach"? No. I’m a Strength & Conditioning Coach who’s job it is to help people achieve the highest possible goals with their body. So for me it’s another sport, another client, and I always believe I have the ability to help someone take the human body further than they ever have before! Fun fact: Just happens that in this process I actually now know quite a lot about the demands and requirements of HYROX due to the research I've had to do in the process of supporting my client to the best of my capability. However, sorry if you thought you may be able to find me opening up hybrid training sessions and join thousands in the industry worldwide doing so. I’ll continue to focus on my twenty year vision in the industry and maintain a focus on all sporting development and my holistic approach to training.

The great news is for those that do want a coach focused on Hybrid training, Nicole is that person! And, she’s apart of our amazing team at Off The Field HQ. So we certainly have a pathway for you to achieve your goals, dreams and aspirations. Get in touch if you need the support we offer! Email info@jordanglossop.com
